Police Looking for People Who Beat Eritrean Man in Beersheva Bus Station During Terror Attack

b04Israel Police in the southern district announce on Monday 6 Cheshvan that an investigation has been launched to track down persons who were in the Beersheva central bus station on Sunday night 5 Cheshvan during the terror attack and may have taken part in the beating of an Eritrean male who was mistakenly thought to be a second terrorist. The man, who later dies of his injuries, was shot by border police and Yassam police and then beaten by enraged persons in the bus station.

Police explain the video footage shows the suspected terrorist was neutralized by the gunfire and there was no justification for the beating that followed. Police officials add the department will not permit anyone to take the law into one’s own hands.

  1. The police will probably get away with shooting who they thought was a terrorist. I’d imagine it’s their fault for making him look like a terrorist by shooting him.

  2. Oh, I see. The Israeli authorities want to scapegoat the blame for this innocent man’s death from the police and yassam who shot the man to the bystanders who hit him after he was shot by the police. Let them arrest the police and yassam who shot him too.

  3. #1- The police would usually avoid shooting someone who turns out not to have been a terrorist (in this case, a non-Arab who had sought asylum in Israel). In this case some very unwise non-police attacked someone who looked like an Arab (whatever that means, most Israelis look like Arabs). Killing a non-Arab bystander was quite dumb.

  4. While it is surely disturbing that this eritrean man was unjustifiably killed, there’s no justification to detain any bystanders who did what they were supposed to do provided that their assumption – enforced by the authorities themselves -that he was an Arab terrorist is correct.

  5. Exactly. They should charge the soldier or police officer for shooting him, or actually no they should arrest no one couse in a time of war you have to think quick, and if it was a terrorist they wouldn’t charge the mob, people are upset Anna’s they act recklessly,I personally think Israel has to do this for the world that’s why they’re saying they’re looking for them but it’s probably bs!

  6. Please! You can’t blame anyone who faced death 2 minutes ago. But the security guard who showed up and shot him 20 times should be charged for lack of brains.

  7. Exactly, they shot him and caused him to look like a terrorist. What do they want people shouldn’t take the law to their hands? Who has been stopping many of the attacks if not for passerby’s?
